VP/SVP Originations

The Vice President/Senior Vice President roles for Blue Vista will report directly to the President of Blue Vista Finance and will focus on the direct origination of new loan opportunities for the firms current and future fund vehicles, separate managed accounts and other ventures.  These positions are for professionals with origination experience with preference towards those with prior experience with value-add strategies, balance-sheet execution and structured products.  This position will work closely with all members of the lending team as well as coordinate and interact with members of the acquisitions and asset management teams. The candidates level of experience and depth of relationships will determine position title.

Responsibilities/essential functions include but are not limited to, the following:

• Ability to directly source new clients and originate new loan opportunities
• Have an existing and verifiable network of intermediary relationships focused on transactions consistent with the Blue Vista debt products
• Arrange and attend meeting with existing and prospective clients
• Leverage the team's marketing efforts to increase loan production and portfolio growth
• Manage interactions with clients including marketing, negotiating and closing
• Manage timely and efficient transaction execution--underwriting, structuring, and closing
• Present transactions to investment Committee for credit approval
• Contribute to team development and growth

Qualifications:

This is a fast-paced and team-oriented environment where priorities can change frequently, and deadlines are often under time pressure.  Maturity, a self-starter attitude, project and time management discipline, and effective communication as well as critical thinking skills are required to be successful in this position.

• 8+/12+ years of commercial real estate experience in a similar product area
• demonstrated knowledge of loan structuring, underwriting, closing and asset management skills for value-add, balance sheet transactions
• must possess business development skills, knowledge of current business marketplace and a history of proven results
• extensive understanding of business and financial fundamentals with strong financial analysis, organization and planning skills
• strong marketing skills and the ability to interact with clients
• excellent communication skills; written, verbal and presentation
• strong relationship builder and communicator who can engage with firm leaders
• flexible and able to multi-task and set priorities in guiding people an dprocesses
• ability to work well in a team enviornment
• must have a strong work ethic
• technical skills--strong Excel and mathematical proficiency
• ability to travel on a regular basis
• MBA or bachelor's degree in Finance or related discipline
