Clarion’s investment capabilities span the spectrum from core to opportunistic investments in both the equity and debt sectors. 

Clarion Partners seeks to hire a Vice President in the Special Situations Debt Group to assist in the pursuit, strategic management, and resolution of commercial real estate-related special situation and non-traditional debt investment opportunities. The position affords exposure to multiple facets of the investment process and meaningful work across multiple geographies and all major property types. 

Responsibilities:
• Target, analyze, and execute new investment opportunities
• Monitor and analyze the financial performance of the portfolio
• Interact with key constituents including capital investors, co-investment partners, lenders, borrowers, outside legal counsel, advisors, and third-party managers
• Assist with preparation and review of portfolio level and client reports
• Assist in the preparation and presentation of Preliminary and Final Investment Memoranda to the firm's Investment Committee and Portfolio Management personnel 
• Lead special projects including innovative financing structures and non-traditional transaction opportunities
• Develop and implement ongoing and ad-hoc reporting processes for the firm’s investments
• Summarize conclusions generated from financial and situational analysis, author investment and reporting memoranda, and advocate recommendations on a pro-active basis
• Prepare ad-hoc reports when needed
• Mentor and train junior investment professionals

Qualifications:
• Minimum of six to ten years of relevant experience in a real estate finance capacity (either debt or equity)
• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred
• Effective written and oral communication skills with a direct and open communication style
• Exceptional capability in both Microsoft Excel and Argus
• Transaction sourcing and financing execution track record preferred
• Ability to serve internal and external constituents in a fast-paced and nimble environment
• Ability to meet deadlines and complete projects with minimal supervision
• Candidate should be proactive and self-motivated. Strong work ethic, integrity and commitment to meet deadlines are essential candidate attributes
• Prior mentorship, leadership, and collaborative experience
