Role Purpose:

At a time when the need for affordable housing across our region has never been greater, the MidPen Housing Marketing Communications Department plays a particularly important role as it advances the work of one of the nation’s largest non-profit developers and owners of affordable housing. Our small but dynamic team tells the stories of those who need and live in affordable housing communities, debunking often-held misperceptions; we produce  the business-critical communications tools, events and activities needed to support MidPen’s mission of building communities and changing lives; and we shine a spotlight on MidPen’s award-winning communities and increasingly visible work.

Your day to day:

  • Help create, organize and maintain MidPen’s communications assets – photos, presentations, print collateral
  • Monitor and collect press clippings and maintain Media Lists
  • Provide support with the planning and production of MidPen corporate events as needed
  • Provide administrative and operational support for the department as needed
  • Growth potential for increased responsibility in Marketing Communications’ strategic work and day-to-day functions, including: social media content development, website updates, award nominations, photo and video shoot coordination

What you bring:

  • High school Diploma/Associate Degree required
  • Requires 1-3 years of related experience or education equivalent
  • Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint); preferred proficiency in: Adobe Creative preferred, Social Media savvy / knowledgeable
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills
