Hudson Capital Properties, a privately held growth-oriented real estate management and investment company, is searching for an Asset Manager to join our team. Hudson is focused on developing, owning, and operating multifamily residential properties in the Southeastern and Sunbelt States of the United States. This is a position with the opportunity for growth and increased responsibilities. The company owns a portfolio of over 6,400 residential units and is constructing 506 units just outside of Manhattan. Hudson credits its highly successful track record to its hands-on acquisition and management approach.
Position Overview
The Asset Manager will be responsible for a portfolio of residential properties assets across the Southeastern and Sunbelt States of the United States. S/He will be responsible for maximizing the operating and financial performance of the assets through strategic and active day-to-day asset management. This position will be based in New York, NY.
Responsibilities
- Accountable for all aspects of an asset’s performance through the analysis of property efficiencies and identifying opportunities for improved performance
- Work closely with third party management companies to provide direction and oversight of business plans, budgets, forecasts, and capital approvals
- Organize and review annual budgets and capital expenditures
- Manage cash flow, distribution analysis, and investment projections
- Monitor and analyze the financial performance of the properties
- Regularly inspect properties to ensure high standards of property conditions
- Effectively communicate, both internally and externally
- Develop and distribute periodic asset management reports and correspondence to senior management and investor relations
- Review loan compliance and property level financing
- Execute ad hoc financial and reporting projects
Qualifications
- Asset Management: 5+ years of direct real estate industry experience including prior experience as an analyst.
- Experience working with property managers and owners alike with proven results
- Good understanding of financial statement analysis, valuation and cash flow forecasting
- Good understanding of property operations
- Strong time management skills and ability to operate under demanding deadlines
- Ability to work autonomously, be proactive, take ownership of processes, multi-task and thrive in an entrepreneurial setting
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications
- Travel required
- Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in finance, economics, or accounting preferred
- Development, repositioning and/or value-add experience preferred
- Yardi real estate accounting software experience a plus.
