We are headquartered in New York City with major real estate operations in the Atlanta, San Diego, Chicago and Philadelphia markets, and our Accounting Center is in Philadelphia.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


The Director is responsible for various FP&A, corporate model, and strategic analysis functions and will report directly to the CFO. Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with all departments to obtain budgets or revised forecasts for various line items and undertake analysis regarding significant variances
  • Update and manage the corporate model, including financial statements and debt schedules
  • Perform a variety of sensitivity and scenarios analyses with respect to potential asset level, capital markets and other strategic transactions or initiatives
  • Continually refine and enhance the tools, processes and procedures related to the FP&A process
  • Support the CFO in all matters relating to financial strategy and analysis
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses as requested by executive management
  • Lead and execute special projects as necessary
  • Manage, train, and mentor junior team members

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree required -- Finance or Accounting major preferred. Other majors / concentrations acceptable if prior work experience is directly relevant to the role
  • Five+ years of relevant experience. Preferred background in audit, investment banking, and/or real estate. Familiarity with REIT structure and accounting highly desirable
  • Ability to act as an architect for the corporate model in Excel
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, prior experience with REIT financial modeling strongly preferred
  • ARGUS knowledge a plus
  • Desire to achieve in a high-profile, fast-paced, challenging role with continuous access to the C-suite
  • Ability to communicate concisely and confidently with executives Intellectually curious and self-motivated
  • Interested in the commercial real estate industry and the operational drivers of the business
