BASIC FUNCTION:  The Financial Analyst position will support all elements of Asset Management and will be involved in a wide range of commercial real estate investment strategies in a fast-paced and challenging environment. The role involves supporting Senior Vice Presidents in managing the operations, leasing, financing and valuation of assets held by the Recovery Funds. The position may also include responsibility for the oversight of individual assets under the supervision and direction of the Senior Vice Presidents. The position requires the ability to fully understanding the assets’ investment objectives and strategies, related loan documents, partnership agreements, and historical and projected property performance.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTION:  Position involves (i) analytical support and assistance with managing the operations and leasing of existing portfolio assets (ii) creation and maintenance of asset valuation models using Excel and ARGUS (iii) interaction with investment partners and third party property managers and leasing agents to improve property performance and asset values (iv) produce asset-level reporting on a periodic basis (v) assist in investment valuations and business plans and (vi) update and maintain market data.

QUALIFICATIONS:  

Skills:               Working knowledge of real estate financial modeling tools and concepts including discounted cash flow and net present value analysis. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and Word required. ARGUS knowledge is a plus. Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) required. Real estate financial skills including valuations and operations helpful.

Experience:      Candidate should have at least three (3) years experience at either a financial institution or in commercial real estate investment banking.  A four (4) year college degree is required, preferably in the field of business or real estate.
