Description
Lotus Equity Group LLC is seeking an experienced real estate professional with a solid track record as a development manager, preferably in New Jersey. This is an exciting opportunity to join Lotus’s Industrial Real Estate Development Team. As a DM you will be responsible for the energetic execution and management of a large industrial development. The successful candidate must possess the knowledge and experience that will permit he/she to manage the full process, including but not limited to: pre-development planning, scheduling, logistics, cost management, construction and asset management operations. In addition, the successful candidate must possess the interpersonal skills that will allow him/her to collaborate with accounting, finance, design and management teams.
Responsibilities
This position will be based between New York City and Newark NJ with limited domestic travel. Responsibilities include:
- Managing the entire pre-development and due diligence phases of the project.
- Leading the permitting and entitlement processes.
- Making decisions that consider underwriting models as well as assisting with pre-lease negotiations.
- Overseeing the land acquisition of a development as well as securing incentives of a new development.
- Effectively communicating relevant project information to the management team.
- Resolving and acting on issues in a timely fashion.
- Acting both as the owner’s representative and development manager throughout the entire cycle of the development and holding.
- Performing daily on-site inspections to ensure contract performance, safety compliance, and quality control with the intent of delivering a quality industrial development.
- Assisting in managing the day-to-day operational aspects of a project.
- Updating project budgets and schedules.
- Keeping minutes for regular status and project meetings with the project team.
- Decision making responsibility for the entire development and construction process.

Qualifications
- Preferred 10 years of experience with a minimum of five (5) years development experience. Degree in one of the following disciplines is preferred: Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering + Management, Architecture, other related fields or experience.
