PRG Real Estate is looking for a dynamic, self-motivated individual with Excel savvy to join our Acquisitions team as our Asset Management Analyst. Reporting into the Director of Acquisitions and Chief Operating Officer, the Asset Management Analyst will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating ongoing performance of the portfolio and business plan implementation of all Company assets. This person will be responsible for managing the reporting process with joint venture investors, fund investors, and updating and maintaining internal financial models. Other responsibilities may include assisting with acquisitions, fund management, and asset valuations.

Essential Job Functions

  • Provides analytical support on a wide variety of assignments including monitoring investment performance, financial analysis and tracking capital improvement progress
  • Completes monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting and analysis with operating partners and maintains internal asset management models
  • Analyzes and maintains financial data and operating reports against budgets, underwriting and other financial benchmarks
  • Prepares joint venture investor reporting
  • Conducts ongoing market, asset, and portfolio level reviews to guide strategic investment and operational decisions
  • Assists in the preparation of quarterly asset valuations and annual budgets for each asset within the portfolio
  • Assists with the due diligence process for new acquisitions

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience working with a real estate company, an equity fund or a financial services firm;
  • Experience within multi-family property management/investment industry preferred
  • Strong understanding of real estate investment and financing processes including, but not limited to, market analysis, financial analysis, property valuation and capital markets
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Team player, who works well with others, is organized, proactive, self-directed, conscientious and assumes accountability and responsibility for specific performance and work product
  • Ability to identify opportunities and risks that could adversely affect investments and recommend solutions
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy required
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing with individuals at all levels of responsibility
  • Strong organizational skills to enable effective management of multiple, simultaneous projects
  • Ability to perform in a busy, changing, multi-tasking work environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint required. Advanced Excel Modeling experience is required
  • 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Mathematics, Accounting or Economics required
