Analyst

As a Real Estate Analyst for our underwriting group, you will have an active role in analyzing real estate investment opportunities across various asset classes (including 1^st mortgages and subordinate debt) and property types.  The ideal candidate will be highly organized, have excellent verbal and written communication skills and have some experience reading/analyzing financial statements.

Trez Forman Capital, backed by the security of a partnership with more than $2BB in assets under management, provides flexible, short-term financing ($5MM to $50MM+) to purchase, refinance, reposition, or develop commercial property.  Recently, Trez Forman Capital was formed by the strategic partnership of Forman Capital LLC with Trez Capital Group LP.  Collectively they have funded more than $5 billion in loans throughout the United States and Canada since 1997.

This individual’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting with drafting proposals and detailed investment memorandums
• Full financial modeling and analysis of proposed investment structure
• Performing full due diligence and financial analysis on qualified opportunities
• Investment return and sensitivity analysis
• Identification of risks and mitigating factors
• Manage, communicate, coordinate with third party professionals
• Performing market research for commercial real estate related activities including comparable rents and sales, absorption, growth, market trends and demographics
• Filter and organize information to help maximize efficiencies
• Establish and maintain record keeping and filing systems
• Track local market conditions and market trends
• Benchmark key metrics
• Data aggregation, assimilation and input

Qualifications & Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in real estate or real estate finance industry REQUIRED
• The ideal candidate will thrive in a highly entrepreneurial and fast moving environment
• Must be a self-starter and has the ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication, analytical, decision-making and follow-up skills
• High level of interest in real estate or real estate finance industry, industry experience a plus
• Highly proficient in MS Office applications (specifically Outlook, Excel and Word)
