Description


CBRE Heery is looking for an Architectural Designer III in Denver, CO.


The Architectural Designer III is responsible for daily design or technical development of projects under the supervision of a licensed architect.

  
Prepare 2D and 3D design materials.
Develops solutions to technical and design problems.

Performs product research; assists project designers and project architects with material selection and system research.

Works with the project architect to develop production drawings.

Assists with construction administration, including shop drawing reviews, material submittals, on-site inspections, etc.

Reviews project documents; coordinates with other design disciplines.

Works with the Client to achieve design goals.

Works with the project manager to develop cost budgets

Works with the project manager to develop project specifications.

 

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project. 


Bachelor's Degree (B.S. or B.Arch) or Master's Degree (M.Arch) from four-year college or university.  


Minimum 10+ years' experience required.


Healthcare and commercial project experience preferred


Business development experience with a design portfolio in institutional and commercial projects is desired. 


Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex business documents.


Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues.


Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style.


Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients and/or public groups.


Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees and client groups to take desired action.


Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis.


Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.
