Real Estate Development Associate Position
Depending on experience, this is a low to mid-entry level position and is a great introduction to real estate development. As a Real Estate Development Associate you would be working directly for one of the Principals and key members of the team. If you have an architecture background (preferred), this is a position that will strongly broaden your experience from architecture to acquisitions, pre-development, finance, construction, marketing and legal aspects of real estate development.
We have successfully hired folks with architectural backgrounds and they are thriving with experience gained.
•Utilize your design experience to assist in the acquisition, pre-development, design and construction of residential and office properties
•Provide support to Principal of firm in managing real estate development through all steps of multiple projects. This includes, but not limited to: development, pre-development, construction, acquisitions, finance, legal, due diligence, financial analysis, investment summaries and required administrative duties. Must be able to manage needs under time-sensitive deadlines and be able to prioritize.
•Strong analytical and communications and writing skills required.
•Overall, applicant must be detail oriented, analytical, entrepreneurial, collaborative, creative and intellectually curious.
•This person has to address the mundane part of the job with as much enthusiasm as the more intellectually demanding aspects.
This is a great learning and career opportunity if you love design and real estate! If you primarily want to remain an architect and are less interested in real estate development this is definitely not the job for you.
Over the last 25 years we have hired many folks recently out of college, unlike most real estate developers, and we foster growth and learning with a culture of patience, teamwork, ethics, hard work and humor. No two days are the same so the ability to prioritize and communicate are essential. We encourage a healthy balance between work and life. We strongly encourage professional development and will reimburse for certain courses, professional licenses and exam fees.
Ideally, a candidate should have 1 - 4 years of architectural work experience. Salary and bonus commensurate with experience.
