Mosaic Real Estate Investors, LLC (MREC Management, LLC) is looking to hire an Underwriting Analyst to join its Debt Originations team.

Job Description:

The Underwriting Analyst will have the opportunity to be an integral part of the Originations team. The main responsibilities of the Underwriting Analyst will be the following:
 
  • Create financial models and perform financial analysis on potential investments in the firm’s pipeline
  • Perform sensitivity analyses utilizing various data sources to find appropriate assumptions for the operations of the underlying collateral
  • Analyze construction budgets and expected draw schedules
  • Evaluate various markets for new competitive supply, demand and various other metrics in order to determine the feasibility of a project’s success
  • Analyze rent rolls, operating history, previous valuations and projected cash flows of underlying collateral
  • Review due diligence materials, including third-party reports, and maintain due diligence checklists
  • Prepare investment committee memorandums
  • Analyze borrower’s capabilities to conduct business, including analyzing borrower and guarantor financial statements
  • Conduct research on key trends within various US markets
 
Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, real estate or a related field
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience in the real estate finance industry (mortgage banking, investment banking, lending), including transactional experience
  • Strong quantitative and technical skills, including financial modeling experience
  • Ability to work independently with little direction
  • Experience with real estate development/construction lending preferred but not required
  • Experience with a wide-range of asset types preferred but not required
