Immediate Supervisor:

  • Director of Development – Multi-Family

Position Summary:

  • Responsible for all aspects of development project management to include acquisition, due diligence, entitlement work, design, dispositions, and coordination with development operations personnel.

Primary Functions:

Project Management:

  • Coordinate with architects, engineers and consultants on the design and permit process of assigned projects to identify potential cost savings
  • Secure all project entitlements such as development agreements, masterplans, studies, zoning, platting, and approvals in conjunction with municipalities, providers, and utilities
  • Prepare, manage, and host project team meetings
  • Monitor and track lease-up performance of multi-family projects
  • Oversee property management company to ensure strong lease-up performance and rates
  • Manage tasks and workflow to ensure efficient use of time and to maximize overall project performance – both financial and operational
  • Provide detailed reporting of project workflow, status, and budget to company management
  • Create and modify site layout, floor plans, elevations etc. to identify potential cost savings and maximize profit
  • Coordinate with city entities and departments to facilitate the permit and entitlement process
  • Advise on site layout, unit plans, design, and potential cost savings on assigned projects
  • Assist Director with market studies for management review
  • Consult with city personnel on issues such as transportation, roadways and other utility issues affecting projects
  • Research various value engineering opportunities for potential cost savings
  • Create Proformas for specific projects for review by management, financial entities, appraisers, and owners
  • Assist with legal documents associated with dispositions, acquisitions, and closings such as easement agreements, access, CCRs, HOAs and title commitments

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of multi-family experience in project management, design, entitlements, property management, and lease-up.
  • Extensive experience in all multi-family product types
  • Strong background in property management
