The Asset Management team is responsible for Rose Companies’ portfolio of affordable and mixed-income multifamily housing in transit-oriented or walkable locations and the preservation of its affordability, continual improvements to its economic and environmental performance, and Community of Opportunities programming that enhance the lives of its residents. The team works in collaboration with Rose Community Management who manages the properties or work in joint venture with local partners who share our vision and commitment to making an impact.
As part of this endeavor, we are seeking an Asset Management Summer Intern who will represent the financial goals and social and environmental mission of Rose Companies in assisting with the following functions:
- Analyze financial performance of assets
- Develop property business plans and assess property cash flows
- Update operating and capital improvement budgets
- Review loan documents and document key points
- Use new technologies and processes to enhance team efficiency
- Affordable housing experience/interest is preferred
Education, Work Experience and Skills
The ideal intern will have an undergraduate degree in real estate or a related discipline. Would be preferred if the candidate has an advanced degree in real estate, business or design, and engineering.
Skills required for this position include the following: Able to discuss and work closely with outside professionals and company leadership; strong communication, presentation and public speaking skills; proficient in the Microsoft Software Suite; Exceptional proficiency in excel with respect to financial modeling; and strong financial acumen.
