Rockland Trust is currently seeking a Facility Project Manager. As a member of Rockland Trust Company’s Corporate Services Department, you will help coordinate the design, planning, budgeting, scheduling, construction, and renovation of buildings, office space and retail branch facilities, including ATM sites. Assist with the coordination of building space allocation (i.e. “space planning”) and facility layouts, as well as facility expansion, contraction and relocation related to these space planning efforts.

 

Project Manager Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop scope and schedule for facility project work.  
  • Coordinate the selection and contracting process of consultants, construction teams, subcontractors and vendors for each project.
  • Manage relationships and interface on a daily basis with designers, general contractors, architects, landlords and colleagues on a variety of construction projects.
  • Handle the coordination of all project reports and drawing reviews at all project phases including conceptual, schematic, design development and construction phases.
  • Review requisitions, change orders and other invoices associated with facility projects.
  • Chair and schedule meetings, prepare agendas, develop and maintain master project budgets and schedules as required for each project and project phase to ensure overall project objectives are met.
  • Administer punch list and project close-out activities, including acceptance and completion of project.
  • Ensure the quality standards are maintained by inspecting work in process on a frequent basis.
  • Report project status regularly to project team, Department and Company as requested.
  • Assist with the ordering, delivery and installation and re-configuration of office furniture and bank equipment.
  • Maintain accurate and consistent facility plan records, including electronic files and documentation related to space plans, as-builts, facility headcounts and other pertinent facility information (e.g. permits).
  • Work closely with the Facilities Manager with short term and long term real estate/facility strategic plans, including space utilization analyses (e.g. re-stack analysis).
  • Coordinate temporary and permanent space planning efforts, recommend alternative workspace layouts and coordinate moves to accommodate these requests working in conjunction with IT.
  • Interact closely with Marketing to ensure consistent corporate branding across all RTC office and bank facilities.
  • Provide back up for the Facilities Operations Manager and Facilities Operations Supervisor as needed on customary facilities management/operational matters.
 

Education and Experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 8 years of work experience in the Facilities-Project Management field. 
  • Experience with managing Facility construction projects (renovations to existing space, new space, relocations, etc.) is required.
  • Requires technical knowledge of facilities management operations, including working knowledge of mechanical system operations (HVAC, electrical, plumbing), life safety, engineering and general maintenance of buildings and grounds.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications. Full understanding of architectural and MEP/FP construction plans and building codes, including experience with AutoCAD and scheduling software.
  • Ability to use various PC desktop applications (Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel) and ability to use ProLease (CAFM) database. 
  • Position requires strong written and oral communication skills, and solid organizational and analytical judgment.
  • Self-starter required, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with frequent interruptions.
