SALARY: $120,310.00 Annually
GENERAL PURPOSE: Plans, organizes, manages and directs the repair, maintenance, security, cleaning and servicing of all District and SNWA buildings and facilities, including landscaped areas; researches and prepares a variety of studies and reports regarding the short- and long-term physical plant requirements; and performs related duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will possess experience and training in industrial and commercial facilities operations and maintenance; experience implementing energy efficiency programs; strong planning, budgeting and analytical skills; a proven record of applying continuous improvement practices and methodologies; demonstrate ability for managing a large diverse workforce in a unionized work environment; and excellent communication and leadership skills. Experience in a government or public utility setting is highly desirable.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from a four-year college with a major in architecture, structural, civil or mechanical engineering, business administration or a closely related field; and four years of administrative or supervisory experience in the construction, maintenance and repair of commercial buildings; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: A Nevada driver’s license and the ability to maintain insurability under the District’s Vehicle Insurance Policy.
