The Opportunity
Blue Vista’s Student Housing Platform is seeking to hire a real estate professional with a minimum of 7 years of relevant commercial real estate experience with a focus on asset/investment management analytics and the desire and ability to work effectively as part of a growing, dynamic team. The position will bring with it a high level of responsibility and an opportunity for growth in an expanding, well-capitalized company.
Responsibilities/essential functions:
- Manage a portfolio of commercial real estate assets to execute business plans and maximize investor returns
- Evaluate investment and property operating performance
- Oversee capital projects, execution of strategies and asset dispositions
- Communicate regularly with Senior Management on status and property performance
- Provide updates for investor communications and reporting
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and assist in annual asset valuations
- Ensure lender compliance and oversee property refinancing
- Visit assets and markets to monitor performance and investment opportunities and cultivate/enhance market relationships
- Work with property management staff to develop, review, revise and approve budgets and business plans and provide leadership
Qualifications Required
- Prior real estate asset management and investment analytical experience
- Interest in the real estate private equity industry
- Superior analytical, quantitative and technical/computer skills, including Excel
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
- Highly motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Excellent academic record with an undergraduate degree
- Willingness to travel
