This individual will be detail-oriented, proactive and have strong oral and written communication skills. The Company is an equal opportunity employer. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ability to implement and research prospective tenants. Responsible for identifying and executing new tenant opportunities.
  • Assist sourcing local, regional, national and international tenants through multiple sources.
  • Communicate, interact and further develop beneficial relationships with the Company s tenants, universities, institutions, and other key community members.
  • Assist with property tours (i.e. investor, analyst, prospective tenant tours) and investor pitches, as needed.
  • Facilitate lease agreements (including the preparation and negotiation of LOI s)
  • Work closely with our marketing team assisting lease negotiations through execution.
  • Coordinate with brokers on property ads/marketing materials and ensure proper approvals.
  • Coordinate and maintain momentum on projects and events (i.e. rack progress on projects, schedule meetings/conference calls, maintain contacts with vendors, non-profits, collaborators, etc.).
  • Support strategic leasing initiatives for properties.
  • Assess market rents and price leases based on targeted returns, tenant profile and overall lease terms.
  • Organize necessary materials for meetings and projects.
  • Provide administrative and office support, as needed to the asset services group, international team and San Diego office. This includes but is not limited to: answering phones, scheduling meetings, ordering food and beverages, setting up conference calls, coordinating with third party vendors, etc.
  • Prepare weekly project status and performance reports.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Practical working experience in leasing, marketing or real estate industry related fields
  • Demonstrated strong, independent leasing and management background
  • Experience with technical facilities is strongly desired
  • Previous experience in a Class A firm is highly desirable
  • Skills in negotiation strategies and techniques
  • Oral and written communications are critical and required with demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to interact both internally with other Company members, and externally with prospective tenants, contractors, architects, consultants and other project team members
  • Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Products, including Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point and Access
  • Candidates should possess a professional image with proven customer service skills
  • Proven time management and organizational skills
  • Results oriented, extremely proactive and highly responsive with great attention to detail; strong and efficient work ethic
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to work overtime, as needed
