Real Estate Private Equity Analyst

Company Overview

Winter Properties has been a real estate developer, investor and owner for more than a century, primarily with holdings in NYC. Moving forward, the company will expand its activities, investments and operations across all asset classes in the major U.S. markets. Types of investments that the company will pursue (but are not limited to) include strategic partnerships with developers, operators, and asset managers, as well as restructurings, recapitalizations, and public company structured investments and privatizations.

This analyst will assist the team in the analysis of potential new investments. This position will have broad exposure to a wide array of real estate asset types and investment structures.

Responsibilities

· Extensive financial modeling to support investment opportunity review and consideration process

· Financial analyses of corporate opportunities including balance sheet and income statement evaluation

· Sensitivity analyses as needed to fully understand range of risks and opportunities of each potential investment

· Analysis and recommendations regarding partnership structures

· Preparation of Investment Committee memoranda including analyses, conclusions and recommendations

· Involvement in all aspects of due diligence

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 1.5 years of related work experience in real estate private equity or real estate investment banking

· Strong quantitative and analytical skills

· Advanced Excel skills

· Excellent written communication skills

· Prior experience evaluating REITs and public securities a plus, though not required
