Description
City Interests is looking to hire a construction project manager to work on its current pipeline of mixed use projects (i.e. office, multifamily, etc.).
Job Duties:
- Assist in planning, design and executing new construction and renovation projects.
- Manage and coordinate development/construction activities on daily basis.
- Develop and manage project construction budget projections.
- Develop schedules in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines.
- Prepare proposals to obtain consultant/contractor bids to develop and select project team members.
- Review contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
- Assist in obtaining necessary permits, licenses, approvals, etc. for projects.
- Review design plans and specifications to confirm contractor is meeting the Owner’s design program and intent; and following appropriate construction procedures and methods.
- Work with owners, contractors, design professionals, municipalities and community to discuss and resolve matters such as construction procedures, complaints, and construction problems.
- Assist in processing invoice and requisition payments in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree pertaining to the construction field (civil, mechanical, environmental, etc.) is a plus.
- A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience working in the construction field in the District of Columbia.
- Possess a working knowledge of the development, permitting, green design practices, and building approval process in the District of Columbia.
- Multifamily construction experience.
- Willingness to learn and assist in various facets of the real estate development process.
- Have exceptional organizational and management skills.
