Position Summary:

The analyst will provide research and analysis to support Nuveen’s investment activity in the US. The analyst works with the US research team as well as the product development, portfolio management, and acquisitions teams. The role will provide broad exposure to real estate investment management.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports the build out of Nuveen’s data and analytics platform
  • Write deal level memos for each acquisition that goes to the Americas investment committee and attends these meetings to explain research viewpoints on each deal
  • Contributes to written and verbal communications that are used for client presentations, regulatory filings, and capital raising activities
  • Evaluates local market dynamics and trends in order to create strategic investment recommendations
  • Participates in economic and real estate research by identifying and collecting data
  • Supports portfolio strategy with a focus on helping portfolio achieve outperformance
  • 20% - 30% of the job will require travel

Qualifications:


Required:

 

  • Minimum one year of commercial real estate or investment management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field (real estate, business, finance, economics, mathematics, engineering, or urban planning)

 

Preferred:

 

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Familiarity with Access, Argus, GIS
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Expertise with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Time management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to manipulate and interpret large sets of data
  • Experience with Python, R, SQL, Java, Tableau, and Visual Basic
