Full-Time Leasing Manager for High Volume / Fast Paced Residential Apartment Rentals


A boutique Midtown Manhattan based Property Management Company is seeking a Full-Time In-house Leasing Manager to start ASAP.


We are looking for a clever, enthusiastic, and very responsible individual, with experience in NYC Residential Rental Apartment Leasing. Must be extremely strong administratively and able to communicate internally and externally to Owners, Directors, and Clients. Strong conflict resolution skills required. Individuals should have a background in Communications, Marketing, and/ or NYC Residential Real Estate (working knowledge of rent stabilization laws and guidelines). The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

1.) Leadership and Oversite of seasonal/ summer Leasing staff (3-5 individuals)

2.) Coordinate/ Host/ Train summer/ seasonal staff to conduct Open Houses for residential apartment Knowledge of Manhattan neighborhoods/ rental markets (Uptown/ Downtown)

3.) Administration – Initiating/ Accepting/ Approving Apartment Applications, application verifications, Lease negotiations, Lease + Renewal preparation and execution, Conduct Lease Signings, Negotiate rental terms and renewals for current/ new Tenants.

4.) Inspections - There will be a lot of opportunity to be both in and out of the office year-round. Going to apartments/ buildings, taking pictures, conducting property inspections both during the busy leasing season and during the off -season.

5.) Elevated Communication Skills (verbal and written) a must - HIGH VOLUME email responses and timely follow-up, overseeing/ participating in the returning of inquiry calls/ emails, placing + managing apartment ads, answering phones (must be good on the phone, friendly/ upbeat/ accountable), Overseeing/ participating in website updating/ advertising, social media, market research, PR, extremely strong proof-reading skills, and being an overall support to the Front Desk Leasing team members. Assistant/ directly reporting to fast-paced, high energy, detail-oriented Director of Leasing and Creative Marketing.

Start date:ASAP

Hours:Monday-Friday 9:00 am – 6:00 pm (Full-Time Position needed. Additional and longer hours may be required during the busy summer leasing season, including on-call evenings and weekends (April through mid-September).
