FULL TIME - SR INVESTMENT ANALYST / ASSOCIATE*

BrandView Capital Partners (“BVCP”) is a commercial real estate investment, asset management and advisory firm focused on acquiring, managing and strategically repositioning commercial mixed-use properties in Southern California ().

BVCP is seeking a Senior Investment Analyst/Associate to work alongside the firm principals to execute the pursuit, underwriting, and diligence of new investment opportunities and asset management. The position will focus on all property types, and all cycles (incl. existing value-add opportunities, redevelopment) in Southern California markets. The position will also work on post-acquisitions aspects of the property’s life cycle to implement value-creation techniques and maximize return.

This is a tremendous growth opportunity for someone with seasoned real estate underwriting, investment, and management experience to grow into a leadership role in the execution of multi-disciplinary real estate investment opportunities with a growing investment and operating platform.

Scope of Responsibility and Authority: The candidate should be detail-oriented, self-motivated and should thrive on the challenge of helping to grow a company. You will work directly with the founder to assist in all aspects of analyzing, capitalizing and executing new investment opportunities.  This will entail complex problem-solving and playing a key role in the management of assets post-acquisition to develop business plans and strategies to optimize investment returns through their eventual exit.


Acquisitions:

  • Prepare financial pro forma analysis and external investor memoranda for new investment opportunities, manage deal pipeline/deadlines, negotiate LOIs, and execute acquisition opportunities across value-add and opportunistic strategies.
  • Assist in managing all capital markets activity for syndication, separate account and joint venture investment vehicles
  • Perform due diligence and be able to offer recommendations and critical analysis of material, and, help manage due diligence process (coordinating third-party reports, market due diligence, etc)
  • Interact with brokers, consultants, and lenders on current and future opportunities
  • Develop detailed knowledge of markets and investment strategies
  • Assist with mentoring, training and managing interns

Asset Management & Advisory Engagements:

  • Build and manage complex models for all investment and consulting activities including operating budgets, development budgets, loan draws, CAM reconciliations, updating pro formas, etc.
  • Collaborate with external construction, commercial leasing, and property management functions to analyze major capital investments and repositioning opportunities
  • Analyze financial statements and budget variance reports
  • Prepare market studies, hold/sell analyses, and business plans
  • Monitor ongoing performance of properties and assist in asset management functions
  • Be prepared to take on other duties as may be required during this growth phase

Requirements:**

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 2 – 5 years of direct experience from an established real estate investment company or investment bank
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced analytical skills in financial analysis and able to multi-task in a constantly changing environment
  • Superior financial modeling (Excel), Argus and Powerpoint skills and knowledge is required
  • Must possess strong underwriting, writing, modeling and communication skills, and be a self-starter willing to take a “roll up your sleeves” approach
  • Experience/exposure to retail, office, multifamily, mixed-use and asset management
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, follow-through and accountability for results
  • Able to prioritize and be nimble, with a strong attention to detail, and a disciplined work ethic are required
  • Strong ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions with the aptitude to interpret financial, technical and legal documents
  • California Broker Sales Agent License

Compensation: Base salary plus performance-based bonus and/or equity participation
