Vice President of Asset Management

 

Our company is seeking an experienced real estate professional with strong asset management skills to oversee a national portfolio of student housing and multifamily properties. The company is a diversified real estate investment company based in the Los Angeles area. This position plays a significant role in a small entrepreneurial company with great potential for personal and financial growth. 

 

Job Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of multifamily and/or student housing asset management experience including the oversight of property operations, vendor negotiations, financial management, and financial reporting; multi-family experience a plus
  • 7 years of management and team building experience
  • 5 years of successful track record at a leading real estate investment firm
  • Bachelor’s degree

 

Job Duties:

  • Establish and communicate revenue, expense, NOI, and renovation goals with 3rd party property managers, on-site staff, and senior management
  • Effective management of third party property management companies to ensure proactive and effective asset management of student housing and multifamily assets
  • Lead internal accounting personnel and on-site support staff for Los Angeles based portfolio of multifamily assets
  • Communicate with senior management regarding financial, staff, and overall property performance
  • Oversee capital planning, property renovations, and preventative maintenance projects on an on-going basis
  • Oversee all third party and property related marketing campaigns and advertising to ensure alignment with leasing and occupancy objectives
  • Conduct regular visits to portfolio assets to assess strength of operations and staff (some overnight travel will be required)
  • Work with Human Resources on staffing needs and employee relations
  • Work with senior management team on annual budgets, acquisitions, and refinancings
