About:

Located in Seattle, one of America’s great gateway cities with one of the top real estate markets in the country, the Runstad Center for Real Estate Studies at the University of Washington is preparing tomorrow’s real estate leaders today by offering students an interdisciplinary and comprehensive real estate education that values quality and sustainability.

Based in the College of the Built Environments, the Runstad Center is a service organization with an industry-driven graduate real estate education program that advances and integrates the industry, producing students who become leaders and innovators in the field.

Core Focus:

  • Master of Science in Real Estate (MSRE)
  • Graduate Certificate in Real Estate (GCRE)

Program Highlights:

Students may obtain a general MSRE degree or they may focus their studies in one of three specialty Options: Corporate Real Estate, Real Estate Development, or Real Estate Finance and Investment.  Students may pursue the degree on either a full-time (5 quarters) or part-time (9 quarters) basis.

The program is professionally oriented and enjoys a very close relationship with the real estate industry.  Students are encouraged to participate in industry organizations and must complete an internship during the course of their studies if they are not already working in the industry.

Class sizes are small, allowing for hands-on team projects, interactive seminar discussions, extensive interaction with faculty, and plenty of opportunities to participate in intercollegiate competitions.  Admission is offered to a competitive pool of high-quality and ambitious applicants from across the country and around the world.

The Graduate Certificate in Real Estate (GCRE) offers non-real estate UW graduate students an opportunity to learn the fundamental concepts and tools critical in the working of real estate markets while helping them understand how their own fields of study can be useful in real estate.

They are in the early stages of developing a undergraduate program in Real Estate.
