Responsible for properties owned by the corporation, this person represents the company's broad interests in real estate matters ranging from acquisitions, leasing, subleasing, property management, tax issues, and disposition. This position is transaction oriented, with the goal of protecting the corporation's bottom line while implementing the business's strategy of positioning and operating corporate assets. This person is responsible for maximizing building space and operating efficiency. A corporate real estate generalist will be the middle man between brokers, buyers, and sellers transacting with the corporation. Often this person will also assist the corporation in searching for new sites to acquire or new space to lease for operations.
