Real Estate and Land Use Economics helps students develop critical thinking and reasoning skills, while teaching concepts and applications that resolve business problems related to real estate. Expertise in real estate is needed by land developers, brokerage companies, banks, railroads, insurance companies, and corporations diversifying into real estate investments. Urban and suburban community design, planning, zoning, and housing agencies as well as highway and road departments need professionals in real estate.
