As a member of the People team and a Business Partner to the GWS business segment, your key responsibility is to ensure that the business employees are capably deployed to drive exceptional outcomes for our clients and shareholders. The GWS business is comprised of Facilities Management Services, Technical Services (Engineering), Project Management, Transaction Management, Health and Safety and multiple other GWS support services. This leadership role will support the business in areas such as engagement, diversity and inclusion, workforce strategy, analytics, organizational design, talent management, and retention.
The People business partner sets the standard, tone and direction of the People strategy and delivery for his/her business segment. The business partner ensures a culture of integrity, high-performance, fairness, teamwork, growth and people development to achieve our vision and targets.
The business partner will be a practical but innovative thinker, focused on creating and delivering a People strategy that adds measurable value in key areas. Partnering with senior business leaders, this position will be responsible for driving the transformation of the People function in the Americas. The business partner will be a visible and inspirational leader to the business, his/her team, and peers on the People Leadership Team.

Use data and fact-based analysis to anticipate talent needs and provide insights to the business for competitive decision making
Constantly review and assess the culture of the organization through active, vocal engagement with leaders and managers and take any steps necessary to maintain CBRE s culture and RISE values
Attract, recruit and retain members of the People Team and provide mentoring and career development
Coordinate with regional and global People functions where appropriate to ensure People processes, policies, and services are implemented, observed, and meet the needs of the business.
Challenge current/ traditional ways of thinking and define innovative ways of working to best serve CBRE clients and employee needs as we continue our transformation.
Play a key and advisory role in helping the organization to sharpen its structure to respond to and support rapid growth, change in culture and product offering.
Proactively manage the talent pipeline to ensure we future proof the business to have the talent available to meet future growth and adapt to the changing environment
Support all People related aspects of any client transitions across the total lifecycle.
Promote One People Team culture throughout the organization; act as a highly visible role model to motivate exceptional performance and teamwork across the organization.

Lead by creating strong relationships and trust, innovative People practices, and inspiring teams and leaders towards outstanding people outcomes.
Inspire and promote a positive and accountable work environment.
Manage the planning, organization and controls for multiple functional areas and teams. May be responsible for a mix of direct and matrix reports.
QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from 4-year college or university and a minimum of 10 years of related experience. Master s degree (MA/MS) a plus.
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to inspire your team and peer groups both verbally and in writing.
Ability to interface with senior CBRE executives and directors to convey People strategy, performance measures and cost efficiency.
Ability to comprehend, analyze and interpret business data, analysis and documents.
Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues and to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees and Business leaders.
Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees and client groups to take desired action and influence outcomes.
Ability to solve advanced problems and address a variety of options in complex situations.
Requires strong analytical and quantitative skills.
Ability to work within an organizational matrix.
OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES
Experience with CBRE GWS business segments, operating platform and clients.
Proven success serving as a trusted advisor with senior level executives
Ability to work efficiently and drive change in a highly-matrixed, organizationally complex business with multiple stakeholders.
Strong decision-making skills and comfortable working in a fast-paced, fluid environment.
Agile working practices coupled with pragmatic thinking and decision making.
Strong collaboration skills with the ability to effectively work cross functionally.
Experience working in global, publicly-traded organizations.
Demonstrated business acumen and the ability to clearly define, implement, communicate end user-centric solutions and influence key stakeholders to execute.
Uncompromising ethics.
Background in Six Sigma or process efficiency, human centered design a plus.
Decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines. Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause long-term impact to People department.
