Job Description
Northwind Group is seeking a highly motivated real estate investment intern for our NYC office. This individual will assist the acquisitions and originations team on a variety of projects that will refine their skills and assist them in transitioning into the professional working environment of the real estate investment industry. The position provides for a high level of responsibility and the unique opportunity to work directly with senior management, joint venture partners, brokers and commercial lenders. The analyst will work during the fall semester with the potential to extend the internship to a full time opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Assist the acquisitions team in performing due diligence on prospective real estate transactions, including gathering market comps, zoning information, synthesizing market, demographic and economic data
• Assist the acquisitions team in integrating findings into written recommendations for management
• Assist the acquisitions team in creating investment memos for equity and debt opportunities
• Assist the company in various office administrative tasks
• Assist the company in preparing company-wide reports
Qualifications:
• Superior analytical, quantitative, and technical skills
• Strong academic records with a demonstrated interest in real estate and finance
• Capacity to develop skills required to become an effective Analyst, including proficiency in Excel modeling
• Team player who feels comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
