OVERVIEW
Basis Investment Group is looking to hire a Production Analyst to join its Multifamily Finance production team. The candidate will assist the team in originating multifamily (5+ units) real estate) loans in the Western Region.
Basis Investment Group is a New York based multi-strategy commercial real estate (‘CRE”) investment platform that originates and securitizes Agency, CMBS and Bridge senior mortgages, invests in subordinate debt including mezzanine loans, B-Notes and preferred equity, and opportunistically buys CMBS tranches including B-pieces & performing & distressed whole loans. JOB SCOPE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review financing offering memorandums and summarize strengths and risks with each deal
- Prepare detailed financial models for sizing and underwriting of multifamily small balance and convention loans
- Assist in preparation of loan quotes, term sheets and applications
- Assist in preparation of exception waiver requests
- Assist in maintaining pipeline management system
- Assist production officers in soliciting new loan transactions
- Call on mortgage brokers to solicit new loan transactions
JOB SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
- BA/BS degree in finance, economics, real estate, or related discipline preferred
- 2 to 3 years of experience in the real estate finance industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on Excel and Word
- Knowledge of Argus Software, Bloomberg, Reis, and CoStar a plus
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Candidate will have a significant desire to learn and grow within the real estate finance industry
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-motivated worker with the ability and flexibility to work in a dynamic, team setting as well as independently
