Position Title:  Senior Acquisitions Generalist, NY

Position Type: Full-Time

Compensation Type: Salary/Discretionary Bonus Plans

 

Thor Equities LLC., a global leader in the Real Estate Community, is seeking a Senior Acquisitions Generalist for the New York office. The primary responsibilities are to identify new investment opportunities for the company in the New York Metro Area and to play a key role in evaluating and underwriting these transactions.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Source potential deals that present both short-term and long-term financial opportunities in the NY Metro Area by networking and cold calling brokers, property owners, banks, and other unique deal sources
  • Initiate and manage the due diligence effort by incorporating subject matter experts, verifying underwriting assumptions, and dissecting operational complexities; escalate issues and make recommendations based on findings
  • Partner with internal teams and attorneys to handle all aspects of acquisitions, dispositions, and recapitalizations
  • Orchestrate financings on deals working with debt brokers and negotiate loan documents with lenders
  • Conduct analysis and market-research (including demographics, psychographics, supply, and demand data) to accurately underwrite and structure transactions for potential asset purchases

 

 

Requirements

  • Positive, proactive work ethic and approach
  • ‘Boots on the Ground’ mentality and aggressive approach to hunting for off market deals
  • Self-starter and able to work independently
  • Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong negotiating, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient will all Microsoft office programs with excellent excel skills
  • Experience with industry related software including Argus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Management, or any related field
  • 5+ years of industry related experience, retail experience preferred
