Job Description

Sunrise Affordable Housing Group (“SAH") is a Real Estate Acquisition and Development Firm focused on Affordable Housing. SAH's investment process focuses on the acquisition of Multi-family properties with Section 8 or Section 42 restrictions in the South East region and other select states. SAH’s primary goals are to: (1) expand, improve, and preserve the availability of Affordable Housing; and (2) generate outsized returns for our investors.

Sunrise Affordable seeks a Head of Originations to assist in the oversight of originations efforts and outreach systems. The position offers a high-level of independence, material responsibility and an in-depth exposure to SAH’s investment process.

Ideal Candidate
: The role is designed for candidates with experience in Real Estate or Business Development with a deep network in the Affordable Housing industry.


Location
: Position is remote. SAH has offices in Palm Beach, FL and Toronto, Canada.


Compensation
: Base salary commensurate with current pay. Performance bonus and deal equity participation is based on contribution.


Responsibilities

  • Managing the investment pipeline including screening all incoming deals, hosting weekly underwriting review meetings and updating the pipeline tracking software
  • Leading the originations team by overseeing the CRM platform (Apto) and establishing the contact sequencing process to ensure the team is meeting weekly targets
  • Conducting market research to generate investment opportunities by conducting research projects focused on identifying ownership groups and properties to contact
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with Affordable Housing owners on behalf of SAH through persistent communication, follow up and in-person meetings
  • Assist in other special projects and assignments as they may arise
Qualifications
  • Holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
  • Established track record of sourcing LIHTC transactions and a deep network in the Affordable Housing industry
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple live projects
  • Experience in leadership positions, preferably leading a team in your current position
  • Excellent written communication and strong verbal interpersonal skills
  • 5+ years of work experience in Affordable Housing
