Venture One owns and manages over 10 million square feet and controls over 1,100 acres of land in corporate business parks in the greater Chicago area and New Jersey markets.

Venture One is seeking an experienced full-time Property Manager for our Northern New Jersey office.  This position will report directly to our Principals and Northeast Region Vice President

What does the Property Manager do at Venture One?

• Prepare annual budgets, variance reports and monthly reporting
• Ensure properties are maintained at the highest level
• Track building maintenance contracts and annual inspections
• Request and review bids for all contract services, building and tenant improvement projects
• Oversee all service contracts and capital expenditures for assigned properties, including tenant work orders
• Distribute lease documents to all applicable parties
• Manage engineering staff
• Vendor invoice coding
• Coordinate tenant move-ins and move-outs

What do we look for in our Property Manager Candidate?

• Ability to work proactively and independently in a high-volume environment.
• Have strong existing vendor/contractor relationships.
• Maintain strong relationships with tenants, contractors, vendors, and other real estate professionals.
• Able to multi-task and prioritize
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

 What are the basic requirements and expectations?

• 5-plus years’ experience in a property management role
• Experience with Yardi, Angus and MRI a plus, but not required
• Expertise in all Microsoft Office programs with an emphasis on Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Previous industrial real estate experience preferred
