GPC Partners is seeking to hire a Senior Associate to play an integral role on the firm’s credit investment team. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 5 years of experience working for a private debt fund, commercial bank or CMBS lender, or institutional mortgage brokerage firm. Qualifying experience includes working directly on sourcing / originating commercial real estate loans and interacting with all the parties involved in those transaction. Compensation will be competitive with the potential for meaningful equity participation in the transactions.  

 

The focus for the role will be on underwriting, closing transactions, asset/portfolio management, screening/sourcing new debt transactions, and investment material preparation.  The position will offer tremendous exposure and responsibility to work on a wide variety of GPC’s investment activities as the firm is actively lending across all asset classes primarily on the east coast of the U.S. This is an opportunity to join a growing firm and offers meaningful career acceleration for a high performing candidate. Specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Assist in sourcing, screening and evaluating debt investment opportunities.
- Create, assemble and modify cash flow projection/valuation models for stabilized, value-add, and construction transactions on all asset types throughout the United States utilizing excel. 
- Utilize judgment as well as internal/external resources to assist the team in evaluating various underwriting assumptions and appropriate pricing/return parameters. 

- Have a thorough understanding of cash flow waterfall modeling and the ability to use Excel to project returns to various partners based on deal structure. 
- Prepare and present investment memorandum consistent with the firm's institutional quality presentations.

-Engage, review and coordinate third party reports (appraisal, environmental, engineering, zoning).

- Manage the loan closing process and asset management of transactions post investment closing.
- Interact with firm principals on a daily basis and bring an entrepreneurial/ownership mentality to the team. 
- Hit the ground running and have the ability to think quickly on their feet.
- Maintain pipeline of investment opportunities.
