Investment Analyst

Job Description

Arc70 Capital, a San Francisco based investment firm focused on structured real estate investments, is actively seeking to hire an investment analyst to join its team full time. Arc70 manages multiple investment vehicles and is actively raising capital for its third fund. The company has been able to grow and generate new business opportunities despite an uncertain economic climate. The role will support the lead underwriter and involves evaluating opportunities, managing the investment portfolio, and creating memorandum materials. Candidate should be an independent self-starter with strong analytical skills and possess excellent attention to detail. This person will be a critical member of the team and will have the opportunity to be involved in key aspects of the business.

Responsibilities

Underwriting

• Analyze and interpret profitability, cash flow, and financial ratios to determine if they meet guidelines
• Evaluate and verify information provided by developers
• Assist with management of investment portfolio
• Perform select site visits
• Continually identify opportunities for improvement and systems enhancements
• Assist on varied ad hoc analysis projects

Drafting and Analyzing Investment Memorandum Materials

• Prepare investment memorandum and recommend credit and property approval 
• Includes financial review and opinion of credit risk
• Comment on financial status of borrower

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance preferred
• CPA or MBA preferred but not required
• 2+ years of finance experience including underwriting, affordable housing, investment banking, and/or private equity
• Proven ability to work under pressure and adapt to various deliverables
• High level of organization and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively and independently
• Results driven and motivated to deliver
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint knowledge
• Passion to grow a business and its operations
