Position: Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst 

Cardone Capital has an immediate opening for an FP&A professional to join our dynamic real estate team. The FP&A Analyst serves as a member of the finance team and partners closely with asset management and finance departments to prepare growth strategies and budgets. Provides management with financial reporting and analysis that is used for strategic and tactical decision making. Works with various levels of management within the business units as well as corporate stakeholders to develop, interpret and implement financial and accounting concepts or techniques related to strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting to drive business results.                           

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Participate in regular meetings to review strategy, financial performance, and address areas of underperformance
  • Update annual property budgets and revise property financial forecasts throughout the year
  • Review monthly variance between budgets and actual expenditures
  • Create reports using dashboards
  • Create quarterly and financial reports and present findings 
  • Perform financial modeling, including creating, updating, and managing the company’s corporate model in Excel
  • Create long-term forecasts and measure actual results against forecasts
  • Support the asset managers by understanding the assets, the partners, the business strategy, and the challenges
  • Spearhead and drive forecasting, reporting and business/property reviews with executives for company-wide and individual deal performance
  • Support the development and maintenance of tools and systems, including dashboards and other automated reporting, to analyze current and past trends
  • Monitor and analyze actual results and performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of variances to budget and forecast
  • Partner with team members to analyze various financial scenarios for proposed real estate deals, incorporating past results to inform/influence future strategies 
  • Closely collaborate with Acquisitions, Asset Management and Accounting counterparts to ensure cross-functional alignment on future deal terms and anticipate any potential challenges
  • Prepare investor relations marketing materials and support capital raising process
  • Develop and maintain industry-level performance and valuation metrics
  • Other ad hoc and special projects in support of COO, CFO and Head of Asset Management as needed

 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, Accounting or similar field required
  • Minimum of three years of FP&A experience for a real estate firm, financial institution or a combination of other fast-paced, analytically rigorous roles
  • Understanding of real estate valuation processes, real estate underwriting, cash flow analysis, and return on investment principles
  • Strong ability to turn data into actionable insights and influence decision-making by senior leadership
  • Creative and relentless prioritization mindset to constantly reduce manual processes and drive strategic conversations
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and build structure in an ambiguous environment
  • Expert Excel skills
  • Experience in Yardi preferred
  • Maintain the strictest of confidence while dealing with confidential matters
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in an intense, fast paced environment
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills

 

This is full-time Monday to Friday 9AM to 6PM, with additional hours/times as needed in Aventura, FL
