Position Description: 

The Associate will work closely with senior executives to execute and manage the capital markets strategy for Asana Partners. The Associate will assist with debt placements, debt portfolio management, hedging transactions, balance sheet strategy, sources and uses planning, and lender relationship management. The Associate will be a primary lead on all capital markets activities and partner with Investments, Asset Management, Leasing, and Development teams within Asana Partners to optimize asset- and portfolio-level capital markets execution.

Responsibilities:

• Execute and manage financing transactions including secured and unsecured credit facilities, private debt placements, cross-collateralized mortgages, property mortgages, and interest rate swaps and derivatives
• Partner with cross-functional teams within Asana Partners to add insight on capital markets activity related to acquisition underwriting, dispositions, structured investments, asset management, leasing, and redevelopment
• Provide primary oversight on post-closing debt portfolio management, reporting, and analytics
• Execute, underwrite, and manage debt investments including senior mortgages, mezzanine financings, and preferred equity
• Provide advanced modeling and technical support for capital markets activities including balance sheet strategy and sources and uses planning
• Manage and cultivate lender relationships through direct marketing, debt placement agents, and ancillary business opportunities
• Implement and maintain best practices in CRM and data management

Requirements:

•  Deep understanding of and experience with real estate capitalization and principal ownership
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
• Excellence in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; Argus Enterprise experience strongly preferred; Advanced Excel modeling experience required
• Commercial real estate transactional experience strongly preferred
• Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and capable of effective independent judgment
• Acute attention to detail and passion for quality
