Job Description
Slate Property Group, a New York City-based Owner and Developer of residential and mixed-use real estate, is seeking a Vice President to be involved in the acquisition, development, asset management, financing, and disposition of affordable, supportive and transitional housing.

Responsibilities:
- Support in all aspects of affordable, supportive and transitional housing acquisition, rehabilitation, and development (Section 8, LIHTC, etc.) primarily in the NYC metro area, but also in core markets across the US;
- Compilation of due diligence information including financial, market, and regulatory data;
- Manage project pro formas including budgets, schedule, timing, and underwriting assumptions;
- Leading the response of RFI/RFP submissions;
- Completion of applications and documentation necessary for debt and equity financing, property purchase and sale, and government subsidy requests;
- Assist in leading development team through conceptual design and entitlements to construction documents; and
- Perform, coordinate and / or lead pre-development work such as preliminary architectural and engineering design, zoning issues, local government and community support.
- Reports to the head of affordable housing at Slate Property Group.
Experience
- LIHTC and Section 8 experience strongly preferred
- Experience working with/for City or State Agencies (HPD, DCP, HDC, HFA, DHCR, NYCHA, DHS, HRA etc.) preferred
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required, real estate, business or urban planning majors preferred
- 5+ years of real estate experience, affordable housing experience strongly preferred
- Strong quantitative, financial analysis and modeling (excel) skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks effectively, take on additional responsibility, and have strong attention to detail
