Based in Washington D.C., CSH is a private equity-backed real estate acquisition, development and investment management firm founded in 2003. Along with our capital partners, The Carlyle Group and Bain Capital, CSH has successfully acquired or developed more than 120 senior housing communities and deployed over $2.5 billion of investment capital to date.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead the initial screening of investments to determine fit with investment objectives
- Develop and maintain financial models to support development, acquisitions, and asset management teams
- Coordination and review of due diligence materials and tracking of checklists during acquisitions and dispositions
- Take lead on the preparation of investment committee materials for new investments and development opportunities
- Review property reports and track operating performance relative to pro forma, forecasts, asset strategies, and investment targets, and prepare summaries and present results
- Research, analyze and evaluate market feasibility for acquisition and development opportunities using demographic data and industry platforms (i.e. NICmap)
- Collaborate with various department heads for both acquisitions/development and asset management
- Oversee quarterly updates to all investment models: existing and pipeline deals
- Produce ad hoc presentation materials for various stakeholders including capital partners and lenders
- Produce and maintain fund impact analyses and sensitivities
- Compile quarterly internal/external reporting materials for management and investors, review business plans and asset management models and coordinate team-follow-ups
Experience and Requirements:
- 3 or more years prior work experience preferably at real estate firm, real estate brokerage, investment bank or healthcare operating company
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university required, emphasis on finance and accounting
- Advanced financial modeling experience
- Strong understanding of financial statements and financial analysis
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel
