Job Description
- Support the asset management team in managing a portfolio of loans secured by transitional assets in various markets through managing internal and external relationships, monitoring conformance with business plans, assessing collateral performance, monitoring loan covenant compliance, and identifying and managing material risk factors.
- Assist with the processing of loan amendments and modifications, loan refinances, easements, loan assumptions, casualty and condemnation awards, construction/reserve draws, lease approvals and SNDA negotiations, loan assignments, and partial releases.
- Perform periodic physical collateral inspections with borrower/onsite personnel to assess property status, performance of capital improvement work, and identification of potential market risks and opportunities.
- Understand loan documents and covenants, actively monitor borrower/property compliance with loan covenants, and recommend strategies for managing non-compliance issues.
- Lead the preparation, review and analysis of monthly and quarterly investment reports for presentation to executive leadership.
- Interact with third party consultants including loan servicers, property inspectors, attorneys and lenders.
- Provide support to capital markets team for management of syndicated loan positions.
- Perform market research/analysis to develop projected performance trends and areas of concern.
- Identify and monitor high risk / low rated assets within the portfolio to track performance issues and develop projected outcomes.
- Support leadership to develop and implement workout strategies for distressed loans including modifications, cash management, and collateral marketing and disposition.
- Assist senior deal team members, portfolio management, investor reporting, and other internal PCCP groups with various ad hoc projects and tasks.
- Bachelor’s degree with 2 - 5 years of related work experience in real estate or finance required.
- An understanding of financial modeling and experience with ARGUS required.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, deadline-driven and entrepreneurial environment.
- Position requires travel throughout the U.S. on a regular basis.
