Job Description
Arch Companies is a New York City based real estate investment, development, construction and asset management firm active across the United States. Arch Companies seeks candidates who can work in a collaborative environment and possess drive, integrity, creativity and a strong work ethic.
We are seeking a Development Manager for Arch Companies to assist with new ground up development projects in New York and/or Miami. The position will ensure the successful completion and delivery of the project in accordance with the business plan. This position will require an individual to work closely with multiple departments including, acquisitions, leasing, construction, and asset management. The position will be based in our New York City offices.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the entitlement process including zoning, environmental permits, building permits, filing coordination, and agency inspections leading to scheduled occupancy;
- Coordinate with consultants, vendors, and contractors to solve problems and exceed expectations;
- Assist to develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and cashflows. Provide concise reporting to senior management regarding critical topics and financial projections;
- Oversee the monthly requisition cycle ensuring accuracy and timeliness of accounting functions, budget maintenance, and financial reporting to ensure timely funding from lenders and partners;
- Monitor construction costs, budgeting, cash flows, and the timeline of deliverables;
- Assist with diligence for key development aspects of future acquisitions;
- Track and aggressively follow up on both design and construction open issues;
- Coordinate with marketing and sales teams to deliver on the project vision and business plan;
- Coordinate with commercial tenants for delivery of commercial spaces;
- Represent Ownership with integrity, professionalism, and entrepreneurial grit with contractors, vendors, lenders, equity partners, commercial tenants, etc.; and
- Prepare reporting due to lender and investors for development projects;
- Perform various development tasks, as assigned
Experience, Skills and Abilities Required
- Minimum 2 - 5 years prior real estate development experience
- MBA strongly preferred
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in business, real estate or other similar fields
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Strong organizational and deadline management skills
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to comfortably multi-task
- Self-starter, dedicated and professional demeanor capable of thriving in an intense, high-energy, transaction-driven environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to build and contribute to a team environment
