Job Description
The primary purpose of this position is to manage the Construction Team for Level 5. Must have working knowledge and be capable of managing design/soft-cycle AND construction phases of the custom homebuilding experience. Provide technical expertise and knowledge to ensure an outstanding client experience that exceeds their expectations. Manage budget and financial issues to meet or exceed the Company’s standards for quality and service.
Through the provision of a superior client experience, will ensure a quality product is delivered that exceeds expectations and is on time and within agreed upon budget and profit parameters. May meet with high-end clients during initial contract discussions. May work closely with Sales Staff as needed to help “close” clients in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with Client and Team on design issues, to manage for a superior experience and end-product.
- Coordinate with internal processes and departments for the estimating and purchasing phases of the soft-cycle process to meet or exceed timelines for turnover to construction start.
- Will walk job sites with clients, clarifying any design issues, verify quality standards are being met.
- Utilize ProCore system for scheduling and tracking the client through the soft-cycle process
- Work with centralized Purchasing and Estimating to create budgets for client presentation
- Review construction job costs and budgets.
- Review and approve client billings for accuracy, authorize payments as necessary.
- Manage and motivate direct reports including Client Development, Construction Project Managers, Construction Contract Managers and assigned administrative tasks. Prepare and conduct performance management (2 + 2) meetings, document, and work with HR to resolve performance issues.
- Develop and report on key metrics related to Construction performance, identifying benchmarks for review by the management team.

Professional Experience/Qualifications
Mandatory Experience/Background:
- Ten or more years of experience in high-end luxury home building industry. Comprehensive knowledge of design, construction, architecture, project management. Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be detail oriented and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment. Must possess superior leadership and management skills. Self-driven, highly motivated, with excellent decision making, and problem-solving skills. Ability to serve as a role model to our Core Values – quality, teamwork, respect, commitment, and integrity. Exhibit characteristics of Level 5 Leadership and possess a client-centric focus.
- Desired Experience/Qualifications: Construction Scheduling and Scheduling Software, Procore Project Management Software or equivalent, Resource Management
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to drive to/from different construction sites. Some travel may be required. Will frequently walk busy construction sites.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction/Homebuilding. Ten or more years’ experience may substitute for Degree.
