Job Description

GFI Partners is seeking a self-motivated individual to be the lead accountant and lease administrator at their newly opened South Carolina office.

South Carolina: Expanding significantly in the Southeast with continued growth in the Carolinas, this role is central to that expansion.  Reporting directly to the COO and VP of Operations, this role will be involved in all day-to-day operations and decisions of the southeastern portfolio.

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all accounting functions including but not limited to, reconciliations, journal entries, collections, check runs, tenant invoicing, month end close process.
  • Review and abstract leases, both existing and new
  • Engage with tenants and vendors
  • Preparation and/or review of Financial Statements.
  • Preparation of bank draws
  • Preparation and/or review of CAM Reconciliations.
  • Assist with Tenant Improvement and Capital Improvement budgets and reporting.
  • Assist Property Manager with facility management functions as needed.
  • Assist Senior Accountant with Tenant onboarding
  • Daily communication with onsite Property Manager
  • Site visits as necessary
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

 

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years in the commercial real estate industry. Property Accounting experience a must.
  • Great work ethic with a team-player mentality.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of property management accounting concepts and software, specifically Yardi Voyager is a plus.
