Culdesac's mission is to build cities for people, not cars. We're the first post-car real estate developer, and our goal is to build the first car-free city in the US. We're starting with the first car-free neighborhood built from scratch - that's Culdesac Tempe, a 1000-person neighborhood.

As an Experience Design Intern at Culdesac, you will be an integral part of our team. This is a cross-functional, multi-disciplinary role. You'll support the work of designing the experience of living at Culdesac and implementing the details of how the built environment operates. You’ll also help create content and materials to educate our residents about living car-free in Tempe. You ramp up quickly in this fast-paced, growing environment. You will be part of a company that uses our diverse skills to create beautiful harmony between tech, real estate, and mobility.

This, like all of our internships, is a paid internship. This can be either a full-time (summer) or part-time (spring) role.

How you will make an impact:

• • You will support high-priority company initiatives.
  • You will work closely with the Culdesac Tempe General Manager and others within Culdesac.
  • You can roll-up sleeves and do whatever is required to accomplish our mission!

How you will be successful:

• • You have a strong interest/experience in urban design and shaping the built environment.
  • You love biking, transit, and alternative transportation.
  • You have an interest in educating people about living car-free in Tempe (through creating materials and content).
  • You have an eye for content/design and ability to manage 3rd party design vendors.
  • You have peak attention to detail, produce high quality work, and flexible enough to produce both routine and spontaneous tasks/assignments/projects from start to completion.
  • You love processes, policies, and research.
  • You seek ownership over projects and enjoys cross-functional work.
  • You have graphic design skills (optional).
