JOB SUMMARY: 

The Investment Analyst is primarily responsible for undertaking financial modeling and research in support of new investment opportunities along with development and asset management of existing investments.

 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop complex financial analyses
  • Analyze financial statements, property contracts, rent rolls, zoning material and other property-related materials
  • Prepare development budgets
  • Examine and assess economic and market trends to determine suitable investment strategies
  • Compile advisory reports and make informed recommendations on new investment opportunities and funds that could enhance or diversify portfolios
  • Conduct property site inspections and market tours
  • Create memos for presentation to investment committee and potential partners
  • Coordinate due diligence materials for acquisitions and dispositions
  • Assist with arranging and closing debt financing for acquisitions
  • Evaluate lease economics for new and renewal transactions
  • Analyze monthly property-level financial statements and maintain quarterly and annual reports
  • Complete special projects as assigned by the Investments leadership and other company executives.

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING:

  • Ideal candidate is a near-term or recent college graduate from a strong undergraduate institution with an excellent GPA and demonstrated undergraduate focus on relevant subjects.
  • The ability to produce under pressure with a strong sense of detail, accuracy and cooperation is essential to this position.
  • Excellent investment analysis software user, and Excel competency is a must.
  • Ability to exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance
  • Good communication skills both written and oral.
  • Exceptional ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a timely fashion.
  • Be a team player, work well in a group setting, take on additional duties and/or ad hoc projects when necessary.
  • Solid understanding of financial set-up, procedures, statistics and economics
  • Strong numeric skills
  • Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
  • BS degree in Finance, Economics, Math or related field
