Summary:
We are seeking an Associate level professional to join our Debt Investment Group, reporting directly to the Managing Director. Kennedy Wilson has a successful track record of investing in debt opportunities alongside partners in our key markets across the globe. The debt-related investments include acquiring loans from financial institutions and other lenders as well as originating loans secured by high-quality real estate in the Western U.S., Ireland, and the United Kingdom. Eligible candidates will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in commercial lending.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform initial broker package review and analysis for new financing opportunities, prescreening deals that come in through acquisition professionals
- Perform in-depth analysis on identified opportunities and produce short form summaries for internal review
- Assist with preparation and drafting of investment memoranda and presentations to investment committees for approval
- Assist with coordinating the due diligence and closing processes of new investment opportunities
- Interact with brokers, borrowers, legal counsel, third party consultants, and other real estate professionals throughout the lending process
- Work with team members on monthly and quarterly reporting
- Assist with various Asset Management analyses and borrower requests
- Assist with maintaining loan files in an orderly fashion
- Perform market research, site inspections, and monitor industry trends for various property types in target investment markets
- Perform special projects as necessary
Qualifications:
- Four-year college degree – preferably in real estate or business/finance
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the commercial loan or mortgage banking industry
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Argus and other similar platforms
- Proficiency in cash flow analysis modeling, preferably Argus Certified
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize projects, work with deadlines and organize workflow
- Team player, ability to work within cross-functional teams
- Takes initiative and works with minimal oversight; proactively addresses problems with regards to work product, process, and personnel
