KKR is seeking an intelligent, analytical, and proactive analyst to join their Real Estate Securities Asset Management team. The asset manager will be responsible for assisting team members with the oversight, reporting, and active management of the entire real estate securities portfolio. The candidate will also be expected to participate in special assignments related the growth of the platform. The qualified candidate should be able to monitor the investments' performance for credit and compliance while maintaining a good working relationship with internal and external teams.
Responsibilities Include:
- Oversee portfolio performance for potential adverse credit issues, while keeping up with national, regional and local market dynamics and tenant credit risks and concentrations;
- Implement and/or enhance established work-streams with the objective of ensuring optimal portfolio results;
- Actively coordinate existing processes related to all aspects of asset management;
- Ongoing surveillance and analysis of portfolio performance against underwritten assumptions with ability to identify and resolve issues to meet initial objectives;
- Analyze, prepare, and report findings and updates on asset/portfolio performance for management and investors;
- Evaluate and make fact-supported recommendations on asset management requests for performing and non-performing loans;
- Work with external service providers to ensure that all relevant loan terms and covenants are being satisfied;
- Visit, track and analyze loan and property-level information, including financial statements and rent rolls, on a variety of commercial real estate loans and investments located across the United States;
- Work closely with investment team by providing guidance and intelligence on new deals;
- Periodic underwriting of collateral;
- Manage special projects, including implementation of new technologies to support our platform;
- Periodic travel.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a related course of study;
- Work experience in commercial real estate debt asset management, real estate investment banking, CMBS principal investing or real estate finance; Special Servicing or workout experience a plus;
- Fundamental knowledge of commercial real estate, fixed income, and general financial concepts;
- Superior analytical and financial modeling skills;
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and communication skills;
- Exceptional attention to detail and thoroughness is a must;
- Team Player with collaborative and strong relationship building skills, and with the ability to work independently;
- Entrepreneurial, resourceful, self-starter; demonstrates hustle and drive;
- High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook; RealINSIGHT a plus; Data analytics a plus.
