Starboard Realty Advisors (“Starboard”), headquartered in Irvine, California invests and manages a portfolio of multifamily, retail centers, and net lease properties for its investors. Starboard actively seeks opportunities to invest in everything from ground up development to stabilized properties across the nation.

JOB OVERVIEW: The Analyst will support Starboard by focusing on markets throughout the United States. The primary responsibilities for the position are to work on the Acquisitions Team to identify and underwrite new acquisition opportunities.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

General Acquisition/Disposition Duties: Deal screening and underwriting, preparation and modification of Excel investment templates, understanding the physical aspects and the market positioning of the opportunity, preparation of the private placement memorandum, review and preparation of due diligence items, and coordination with other team members as relates to successfully acquiring and disposing of the assets.

Other Duties: Perform special projects, research projects and any other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in finance or accounting
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with a real estate investment or brokerage firm with a focus on multifamily properties
• Understanding of the principals involved in accurate modeling of cash flow
• Expert command of Excel, and other financial modeling software
• Capacity to handle multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail is essential
• Strong oral and written communication ability – to collaborate in a team environment
• Creativity – a sense of urgency – ambition – proactive mindset: all are imperative
