Our Series A was led by Greenspring Associates with participation from new and existing investors including First American, NFX, Canaan, JLL Spark, Capital One Bank, ANIMO Ventures, Ludlow Ventures.

Lev is looking for an underwriter to join our dynamic and evolving CMBS Platform and partner with Lev’s leadership to quickly and sustainably build the CMBS business. This role will report to the Head of CMBS. We are looking for a consultative and creative thinker who will underwrite CMBS loans that meet securitization criteria, improve and contribute to our employer brand, and help scale our CMBS business as we grow as an organization. In this role, you will work with our originators and help underwrite loans that meet securitization criteria and are eligible for inclusion in CMBS transactions.

What You'll Do

● Help build Lev’s CMBS business

● Pre-screen loans and underwrite loans in accordance with rating agency criteria

● Work with originations to underwrite loans that meet CMBS securitization criteria

● Assist in fundraising for the CMBS and B-Piece investment platforms if necessary

● Manage the due diligence and closing processes

● Prepare credit committee memos and present loans to credit committee

● Work with securitization team to ensure that loans you underwrite are successfully securitized

● Coach and develop junior underwriters if necessary

What You Bring

● 5-7 years of CMBS underwriting experience

● Experience in a rapidly-scaling environment preferred, but not required

● Bachelor's degree in Finance and/or Real estate

● Proven ability to underwrite loans that meet CMBS securitization criteria

● Strong knowledge of the real estate and CMBS industries

● Strong negotiation, and communication skills. Proven ability to take initiative and build strong, productive personal relationships

● Ability to prioritize and complete a high volume of work, managing multiple projects and coordinating multiple requests to successful completion

● Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail

● Results oriented with a sense of urgency in addition to demonstrated attention to detail in prior roles

● Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

● Ability to thrive and think quickly on your feet in an ever-changing environment

● A recent track record of underwriting loans for CMBS
