The Marketing Research team is the heart of CoStar, capturing market-critical information that enables our commercial real estate clients to make informed, high impact business decisions daily. CoStar Group's research contributes to the most important segment of our economy, helping businesses open offices, retail stores, warehouses, and manufacturing facilities. CoStar Group is seeking a Marketing Research Advisor to join our growing research organization.
As a CoStar Multifamily Research Associate, you will build relationships with key decision makers representing and managing various multifamily properties across the country. Through these interactions, you will be updating their property details, ensuring they are getting the most visibility on our platform. In addition, you will capture market-critical information that enables our clients to make informed high impact business decisions in the multifamily sector. CoStar Group's research contributes to an important segment of our economy, helping businesses attract future renters, plan future construction, and stay ahead in the market.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Improve the coverage and depth of multifamily property data through innovative research, including relationship building, objection handling, effective questioning, listening, probing, building rapport, tracking relevant publications and sharing information
- Conduct 50+ daily inbound and outbound phone calls with multifamily property managers, owners, developers, and other industry professionals
- Accurately track new planning applications, verify the status of new construction and capture new listings and transactions, Identify and fix data errors, anomalies and outliers
- Maintain an accurate directory of multifamily company and contact information, ensuring hierarchies are correctly managed and updated
- Respond to client feedback, ensuring the timely resolution of issues resulting in minimal brand impact
- Identify opportunities to assist sales colleagues in revenue generation and revenue protection
- Collaborate with all functions of multifamily, portfolio and tenant content collection to ensure maximum efficiency and best-in-class customer service is achieved
- Help tell the story of market activity by working in partnership with Market Analysts and contributing to the production of insightful market reports
- Manage neighborhood narratives ensuring third-party edits are reviewed for accuracy and processed in a timely manner
- Effectively build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with clients, with a heavy emphasis on personal attention and customer service
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree required
- 8+ months experience in a customer service environment
- Microsoft Excel 2016 experience is required
- Flexibility to work shifts aligned with ET, CT, MT, or PT time zones
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Demonstrated interest in the commercial real estate industry
- Proven success performing to metrics or key performance indicators (KPI)
- Experience communicating with internal business partners and external clients by phone
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, changing priorities, and excel in a fast-paced environment
- Natural curiosity, persistence, and ability to conduct thorough investigative research
- Experience and demonstrated proficiency with Excel that includes the ability to manipulate data, filter, and develop basic formulas. All qualified candidates will be given an assessment to determine their knowledge of Microsoft Excel 2016
- Capability to accurately capture and enter data
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented
